I'll rotate between the upstairs and downstairs TV's. If the Sox aren't playing well I'll go downstairs or vice versa. It seems to work sometimes. In the playoffs I've been wearing my newer nicer Sox hat to school and my older worn out Sox hat during the games. Those two are a good combo.

I always wear one of my Sox shirts and wear one of the pairs of black and white socks I have. Also, whenever the things start looking grim, my roommates and I play Let's Go Go Go White Sox. Lastly, if anyone tempts fate around me I make them turn around 3 times and spit or throw salt over their shoulder. My roommate has had to do that many times now. Yeah, I'm very superstitious.

you should play a MIND game

it goes like so

you tell your friends to play. they start playing.

the rules.

if your around anyone playing the game... and say the word "MINE".... and one of the other players points out that your said MINE... you have to immeatly do 10 push ups.... no matter where you are....

same goes for all your friends, if they say MINE... and you call them on it... then they do 10 push ups...

just go to a really nice restraunt 1 week after you all agree to play.... when someone gets up to go to the bathroom, take their napkin.

when they get back, say "hey... why do i have 2 napkins?"

the friend will then say "oh thats mine"

the friend will then do 10 pushups right in the middle of the restraunt.

its loads of fun.

whenever im watching the game and were down i wear my sox hat backwards. When were ahed its forwards. If i find something that works during the game i usually do it. Such as, when el duque was trying to get out of marte's jam i would have my whole right leg in my arms just hugging it. Worked very well. Also, i cant stand when somebody says what they think the batter will do it just makes me think it will jinx it.

My superstitions change every game.  If I notice things were going better when my pepsi can was facing a certain direction, I make sure it's facing that direction the entire game.  If things are going well and I've been in the same spot the entire game, I won't move even to use the facilities.

LOL! Thats me too, the whole ALDS I was laying on my couch to the left and I didn't want to go to the washroom until the game was over because I didn't want to miss anything, well the next games I still wouldn't go because I didn't want to mess stuff up.

1919 replica jersey being worn on every game. (it has to do with that is what I wore during game 1, as it is my fave of the jersey's I have not some stupid ass curse).

I stand in the same spot when things get rough.

I am a superstitious nut when it comes to things anyways, and I ALWAYS am knocking on wood. So, when somebody on the TV/Radio starts to mention anything about the Sox losing or pointing out things going well, I start to knock like crazy to avoid anything bad about to happen.

During the 8th and 9th yesterday I busted out my Sox Encyclopedia, found a picture of Shoeless Joe in there, and we had us a little talk. I asked him to get his ass to Fenway to give them a little help. I think he went there. :D

The next few games...I will be asking for some other ghosts to get their butts over there. Ya know, if they have the time.

During the fifth inning of Game 2, I arbitrarily decided to take off my belt in order to rearrange my junk.  We have not trailed in a game since.  I will not be wearing a belt for the rest of October.  It's all shoestrings and suspenders from here on out.

Go Sox.

:lolhitting :lolhitting :lolhitting :lolhitting

thats some funny s***

I havent shaved in like 5 days.

I am not much of a facial hair guy, so I just look funny with this peach fuzz all over my face.  Hell, I will just go as far as saying I do not look good at all with facial hair.

I shaved the morning of the first playoff game and I'm not shaving till they are eliminated or win it all. If it worked for Damon and the Red Sox, why can't it work for me.

I have a really wierd one. I want to video tape every White Sox playoff game BUT every Bears game I have taped, they land up losing it ..... so I have decided not to tape anymore.....it sure has helped in this 1st series but it is so focking difficult when you see them perform so well and you cannot save it for posterity

That is so cool. You are taking one for the team! Nice job.

Sometimes I find it difficult to watch when we are not at bat but I remind myself nothing I am doing can affect the outcome of the game, so I try to enjoy it.

It was tough the last 3 weeks of the regular season, though.

It was killing me watching us lose all those games with Cleve winning.

It's cool none of us completely gave up on the Sox during those awful times. Most of us kept saying if we can somehow hang on, perhaps we'll regain the magic in the postseason.
