October 8, 200520 yr http://whitesoxpride.mlblogs.com/ Huh? "It's not always the best team that wins, it's the team that gets the hottest." -- Tim Wakefield. Tim must have missed those 99 victories and the combined 102-63 record. We're just hot right now.
October 8, 200520 yr Those commentsdid make me laugh pretty hard. Look in the mirror asswipe the hottest team won last year, not the best douchebag.
October 8, 200520 yr Considering the Sox were kicking Boston's ass when the game was rained out earlier this year, and beat their ass at the make-up game, and beat their ass 3 times in a row, Mr. Wakefield he of the 0-4 record with an ERA over 9.00 lifetime in ALDS games should shut his mouth. His pitching obviously makes teams hot.

Tim must have missed those 99 victories and the combined 102-63 record. We're just hot right now. I saw him on ESPN last night. That kind of struck me the same way. Like we were lucky to make the playoffs and everything bounced our way. All the other Red Sox showed a lot of class. I guess he wanted to avoid the subject of how he has a pathetic post season record and has been pretty terrible against the Sox.
October 8, 200520 yr We sure knocked the s*** out of your little knuckleball. No wonder you suck so much in the Division Series. Hell you suck all together. OWNEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
October 8, 200520 yr You can argue back and forth about how you determine who the 'best' team is, but I know this: we OUTPLAYED the Red Sox in this series. Since it's a competition, that is what ultimately matters the most. On paper, are we a 'better' team than the Yankees? Probably not, but I have NO fear of playing that team.

They don't play the games on paper.
October 8, 200520 yr I saw that, too. I thought to myself, "Hmmm. Who's the better team? The team that had 99 wins? The team that won all three ALDS games?" Let's face it, Tim, if the Red Sox were truly the better team, don't you think that they would have managed to win even one of the games against the White Sox? Wakefield, STFU. Go home and cry in your chowdah.
October 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(Balance @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) Wakefield, STFU. Go home and cry in your chowdah. Will he be doing this as he paaaks in the Haaavaaad yaaad?

Tim must have missed those 99 victories and the combined 102-63 record. We're just hot right now. It sums up why the Red Sox won in 2004. Seriously, in a shoty series, luck and hotness/coldness play a role more often then over the course of a long season. That being said, the White Sox are still better then the Red Sox. They have the regular season as well as the playoffs to prove who has a better record. Bob
October 8, 200520 yr I saw Wakefield talking on SC and I just yell at my TV...STFU YOU SORE b**** Seriously, what an assclown. He said they lost on Wednesday becuase they hit a lot of hard hit outs...I am pretty sure I can remember 3-5 lineouts on our side too. Wakefield...I now have 0 respect for you.
October 8, 200520 yr Wakefield is in our rear view mirror. Let's move on, folks. Edited October 8, 200520 yr by YASNY
October 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Wakefield is in our rear view mirror. Let's move of, folks. We've gotta have something to keep us entertained the next few days while these other teams slug it out.

October 8, 200520 yr All the other Red Sox admitted that it was the White Sox who were the better team and who more importantly played better. Too bad Wakefield couldn't own up like his teammates. They won the series last year; they know what it takes, and the White Sox did it, the Red did not.
October 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 06:47 AM) Those commentsdid make me laugh pretty hard. Look in the mirror asswipe the hottest team won last year, not the best douchebag. What made me really laugh about this is that their biggest knob polisher Peter Gammons was picking the White Sox because we were the stronger team defensively and clearly had the better STARTING ROTATION. Thats ok Tim. I hear the golf is great in Florida this time of year........
