SIU takes care of business at home and beats the s*** out of Evansville by 28. Now we go to Des Moines to play Drake and then the big one on Monday at UNI who is losing to Creighton right now.

I agree with greasy on this one. I expected IU to have a tough time in this game at full strength let alone down two starters.

What IU lacked tonight was intensity. Two things happened that I think hurt them. They jumped out to an early lead and Marco was on early. I really think because of those two things, IU relaxed a bit. They never showed the defensive intensity that has been one of their strengths this season. They never really got after MSU on the defensive end and MSU got too many loose balls/long rebounds. IU seemed passive at times in those situations.

I think Lavin was dead on early in the 2nd half when he said offense wasn't going to win the game, that the team to make defensive stops would pull away.

All in all, despite the lack of intensity, I was okay with IU's performance tonight. They hung in there for a long time against a great team in a nearly impossible place to play. IU has lost 12 straight at the Breslin Center. Being down two starters did not help either.

Give MSU props, they had to defend their home court and did it. No way they wanted to go to 0-3.

Oh and aboz, he didn't call Paul Davis a pussy, just said he looked like one. ;-)

I was telling my friend about this. This game was backwards for IU. We've started out SLOW every game this year, and come out blazing in the 2nd half. IU had a pretty solid first half, and that definitely relaxed them. They came out too slow in the 2nd half and never had the chance to catch up.

Creighton wins at UNI which should make heads happy. Makes me happy as well as that gives us a two game cushion in the mvc.

EDIT: I should say 2 in the loss column, 1.5 overall.

Duke is kicking ass and I'm sure that's what Palehose is posting about. :P

lmao at coach K already starting with excuses. Apparently his team led by 4 seniors is too young to be a great team. Good stuff. You gotta wonder if Vitale and Patrick would sob openly if Duke lost this game, luckly they don't have to worry about that.

Sheldon pulls off a triple double with his 10th block.

KU wins 7th in a row.

10-4, 1-0 in Big 12

Rotation is finally set, good road win.

My hoosiers are in trouble.

Northwestern lost to s***ty Penn State, thank God so that stupid "they are undefeated in the Big 10" talk can stop when they were ONLY 2-0 :bang

They played Purdue, Minnesota, and Penn State their first 3. There are mid-majors that should be undefeated with that conference start, but it was not to be. :P

Seriously, I don't think anyone had any illusions that they were going to stay near the top of the Big Ten. They seem to do that every year: start out with two wins before reality sets in. NU actually played pretty well, but every time they were about to take control of the game Penn State went on a 3-point barage. They only went like 9-25 from the arc, but they came at the right time. The killer was when NU was down about 6 after a sluggish start to the second half, then took the lead after some improved defensive intensity and some fast break points. Then Luber comes back and hits a 3 from well past NBA range with 4 seconds left on the shot clock. That killed any momentum. It'd be nice if NU actually had any shooters, we can't hit open 3's or even a free throw most of the time. I guess that's what happens when you have one legit Big Ten player.

That game killed any chances of a tourney run. NU just can't afford to give away games to the bottom feeders, especially at home. You probably won't hear from me again unless they pull off an upset, which is possible at home.

Blue Demons off to a nice start at Pitt. I smell upset.

Mejia and Chandler are beasts for DePaul. Got several other nice players, Wainwright seems to be doing a nice job. Then again, the only DePaul games I've watched this year besides this one was their loss at NIU I attended and their win at Wake.

32-29 Blue Demons at the half. Pitt 1 of only 3 unbeatens left in the nation btw.

Still a strong showing...They're just not there yet...

wainwright looks like he either needs a good nap or needs to drink less scotch.

DePaul is solid, but they really have a system overload on wing players. If they had 2 more big men (like a center and a 4) they could be really good, because they have several very good guards and wings.

ISU @ Texas Tech starts in like 10 on ESPN. Strong slate, heh.

Alot of good games on today. Can't wait. :)

This could be a pretty big game come March, especially for Ttech, they really need this one. Go tech. :P

OMG, ISU hasn't chucked up 15+ three's already. We've got a shot.

You might wanna tell your squad to stop letting zeno in the lane. ;)

Palehose..are you guys still on break?? Cause it's quiet as hell in there.

Miami and #20 North Carolina are entrenched in a battle in Chapel Hill, UNC leads by 1 with 5:49 to play.

Brad Buckman gets helped off the court with a twisted ankle, the guy was almost in tears with a twisted ankle.
