I'm just talking about the season as a whole. Sure, IU can make the tourney this year. That doesn't excite me too much. I thought we had the potential to win it all with DJ in this lineup.

However, the loss of White (9.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.4 blocks) will knock the Hoosiers from the short list of serious NCAA championship contenders. And, yes, Indiana was on that list with White.

Dee is going to have to have one of those nights shooting, or we will lose by 10 points. Indiana with the home crowd is going to be too much, and going into conference, this was the one game I have penciled in as a pretty sure loss.

See that is the key to beating IU. Don't try and contain Marco. Let him get 30 in the first 30 minutes of the game but defend the hell out of the 3-pt line. By the time there are 10 minutes left, Marco will be out of gas from having to do it all himself and will start to miss shots. So he gets 34 and Illinois still wins.... I think you would take the win, right?

Agreed 100 percent, and that's the strategy I expect the Illini to use, holding Indiana to about 70 points. However, I think the Illini will only be able to score about 60 themselves....
