November 29, 200520 yr I need stef and soxy's help, and any metros out there. #1 #2 #3 which do you prefer? I'm window shopping and trying to figure out what shoe I'd like. Def brown and I like the square toe, that's in, right?
November 29, 200520 yr Not sure what you're using the shoe for but #2 would be my choice if I was picking out a 'dress shoe' that I would use for work. Now if you're going for a more for comfort I would go with #3. The first one is hardly a dress shoe, at least in my opinion. Not sure if this helped at all...

November 29, 200520 yr I'd definately go with shoe two. I like that look. I have a black pair very similar to that. Its formal enough to go with anything more dressy, yet casual enough to wear with jeans and a nice button down shirt (un-tucked). Personally I'm not a fan of the laceless shoes (#3). The top ones also look nice, they have a little retro look to them (which is in). They are also more casual and I don't think they'd go well if you wore something rather dressy.

November 29, 200520 yr Go with #2, they are the only real dress shoe of the three. I have a pair very similar to #2, except in a ankle high, zipper boot. If they are Steve Madden, you should know that the soles are very thin and soft. You'll be able to feel the cold ground and every little pebble you step on. He makes very sharp shoes, but not made for a lot of pounding.

November 29, 200520 yr Personally, I like 1 the best, but I probably wouldn't wear it with a "real" dressy outfit--more like really nice dress shoes. I really, really, really like the nice clean lines on 2, so I would say that's your best bet for dressy occassions. Shoes 3 are heinous. Do not ever wear them.

November 29, 200520 yr I don't know about the square toe shoes. I just bought a new suit and the guy who sold them to me that the Europeans (we are ALWAYS a step behind them fashion-wise) are going back to more pointed toed shoes. Hmmmm.
