Now, we're left with Rule 5, in-house options, or creating another trade. I'd rather have spent the money on Myers, overpaying or not, then give up anything else for another relief pitcher. And I'll GUARANTEE Williams will have to overpay. Rather overpay with money than talent.

Also he did the job for us in that long Series game. I'm not against the trade though. Looks like we upgraded our utility spot even though Blum hit the shot heard round the world which I forever will applaud him for.

December 10, 200520 yr Marte needed to GET OUT. He was going to get booed all of next year at the Cell. He was easily the most unliked player on the team by fans. And we used him like a horse the past few years. He's starting to run out of gas. It'll be good for him to rot in Pittsburgh for the next couple of years. We don't need two lefties in the pen. Just use Cotts and Viz and we'll be fine.
