Coincidence?

The Sox two class A affiliates, Kannapolis and Winston-Salem, are ridiculously close to each other. When you throw AAA Charlotte in the mix - which is just a close - you can basically drive up and down I-77 and see half of the White Sox entire farm system.

Did we plan it like this?

Convenient for scouts?

Convenient for FutureSox.com addicts?

Road trip anyone?

Yeah the only Sox ML franchise that is far away from those teams is Great Falls in Montana. They wanted all of their teams close together...

Also lots of the FS guys try to do a trip once a year to see all of the teams in the southeast.

WS/Kanny/Bristol/Charlotte are all very close. Bham and Great Falls are the only ones farther away and Bham isnt' that far away (if your flying).

There was definately a reason behind it, because it allows there roving minor league instructors and scouts (as well as Wilder and others) to be able to easily go into an area and see a bunch of players.

Guys like Kirk Champion are always on the road going to one of those areas, so the less time they spend traveling, the more time they can spend working with the prospects.

Its a fun trip too.
