Sweetheart list

Not too early to start. I'm going to post just 1 tonight so far, but I will surely post more as the draft nears.

My lone sweetheart at this point is Greg Eslinger...mainly because he is a graduate of my high school(Bismarck High School). A day one pick for sure, but there are definately question marks about him, most notably his size.

Kreutz would punch him in the jaw for singing the Minnesota March wrong.

You took mine!!! This guy was so underrated throughout the year. His value is for several reasons. 1. as a LB 2. As a pass rusher, possibly in a 3-4 set. 3. Dropping into coverage. The guy is amazing and should be a steal.

no doubt. he also played some goal line tight end for them earlier in the season. he is an extremely versatile player.

last year they needed him to play in coverage more. he was second on the team in interceptions. this year they needed him to rush the passer. he was second on the team in sacks.

my guess is that once he works out, his value is really going to jump (late first, early second). he ran a 4.59 at 6-3 265 during osu's pro day last year. that is just getting it done.

I am partial to Ko Simpson.

Bernard Pollard's my guy. I went to HS with him; I'm excited to see where he ends up.

LB, Thomas Howard, from here in Lubbock, and went to my dad's alma mater UTEP.

RB, Taurean Henderson, Texas Tech, very underrated, quickness, decent size, and amazing catching out of the backfield, very solid 3rd down back at the worst for someone.

Daneil Manning, CB, ACU, alot of my friends attend ACU, and Manning is for real, its shocking to say the least to see someone leaving early from Abilene Christian University for the NFL draft.

Alan Zemaitis CB Penn State.

He's my #2 player in whole draft behind Vince Young

Owen Daniels, TE, Wisconsin

I tend to agree...I see his stock rising after workouts and the combine.

Dan Stevenson...Notre Dame OL

Went to my high school, went to the state championship with him leading the line.

Charles Gordon, CB, WR, PR..Kansas.

The man has real talent.

Jason Allen, DB, from Tennessee.

He's a guy that not many talk about, and I'd guess that's b/c he was injured almost the entire year. He can play both CB and S, and with everyone saying we need another CB, he could possibly fill that role. Or, if he struggles, he can also be a 4th CB/3rd Saftey as insurance if Brown gets hurt again.

Btw, he was injured when he was plowed-over by Leonard Pope and broke his hip. Thought I'd mention that for those Bears fans/Pope supporters out there.

Gotta be Maurice Stovall (WR ND) for obvious reasons :P . It was wonderful to see him turn into the receiver everyone thought he could be this year. If Stovall had an extra year of Weis, we'd probably be talking about him as a solid first round pick. Sure, he won't burn you with his speed but he's got all the physical tools and great hands.

I'd love to see the Bears grab him in the 2nd round, but I doubt he lasts that long.

You and me both. If the Bears aren't considering a Terrell Owens--yes, I am being serious--or a Reggie Wayne, they need to at least take a long, hard look at a guy like Stovall in the early rounds.

As far as I'm concerned, Muhsin Muhammad is worthless. He might be some sort of big-play threat, but, the guy can't catch the f***ing ball on a simple out or slant route. Are you kidding me!?

Bradley showed some flashes before going down to injury, but, you never know with a guy like that.

If the Bears HAD to go into next season with a trio of Muhammad, Stovall, and Berrian, I could live with it.

What I'd like to see is something along the lines of Owens/Wayne, Muhammad, Stovall, Berrian/Randel-El.

Fotop, watch your boy at the Senior Bowl, he's already generating a lot of buzz in only the first couple of days. If he has a day at the Senior Bowl, he will go in the early-mid second round; if he doesn't product, he may slide to the Bears in the second round.

I just question Angelo's willingness to take a WR in the second round after Bradley's early success.

If we are starting to include first rounders, I have to include Chad Greenway. I actually do remember Mt. Vernon playing in like the Class Z state championship or whatever the hell class it was(I actually think it was B or C, though I don't recall which specifically), and him being from SoDak...I gotta pull for him no matter where he goes.
