Well,  I was thinking more along the lines of August and September.  And I also look at the fact he was money in the post-season.  But outta that list,  only Pettite in my opinion was as good or slightly better than Jose.

Hey dammit, the guy was the only one that hustled his ass of each and every play in 2003, yet, somehow, once he starts off slowly in 04, everyone just starts hating on him.  Let's try to keep the hating to a minimum, I'm pretty sure a guy that smiles 24/7 in the dugout is not the clubhouse cancer.  Before the world series last year, he probably provided the most exciting walk off homer in Sox history against our favorite north side rivals.  I'm sure he wont be back here, and frankly, he's better off him nobody wants him back anyway.

Besides that, I don't think he wants to play for them. Ozzie said about him not going in hard, "We had a guy go into 2nd base as if his wife was turning a double play." My bet is that once he has a chance, he'll sign with a team that will play the White Sox, so that he can exact some revenge on Ozzie.

Wins are mostly dependant on the teams offense. Looking at their ERA/WHIP is a better way of indicating how good they are (as is looking at other numbers).

 

You can be a crappy pitcher and win 15+ games. You can be an amazing pitcher and win 13 games (Roger Clemens last year). Doesn't mean the crappy pitcher is better than the amazing pitcher because the crappy pitcher has more wins.

Weren't people like Rowand and Wite here late in 2005 saying that Aaron Rowand had a higher 2nd half OPS then Carlos Lee?

I loved Caballo when he was with the Sox, but seeing him in Milwaukee, seeing Pods and Viz in Chicago and seeing one of the two teams winning the World Series last year made me change my mind a hell of a lot about Caballo. The only Carlos Lee I want on the Sox is Caballo's brother...who just so convienently is named Carlos Lee.

Carlos Lee will always be one of my favorite players... but like its been said with Ozzie and KW he wont be back.... Even though its been said they are shopping him I really hope he stays with the Brew Crew though.
