Are these the ones you are talking about? They are better than the ones they had been putting out before, but they still aren't all that impressive (I could very well be looking in the wrong place though)

This is correct, he was facing inferior talent, he ended up striking out:

So he did strike out Piazza and Cat twice which should count for something.

Catalanotto is a contact hitter. Striking him out twice is definitely something. Piazza, not so much.
