Americans indeed are idiots

Featured Replies

1 in 1,000?!?!? Even I know the 5 tentants......wow.

I can understand Americans not knowing all five. I couldn't recall 'petition for redress of grievances.' It's equally as understandable to recognize popular culture figures over constitutional rights. Most come across The Simposons more than the discussion of the 1st Amendment.

But for 20% of Americans (surveyed) to believe the right to own a pet is a right established within our constitution is pathetic.

Exactly, I mean I thought it was common sense that the right to own a pet was added as an Amendment to the constitution a few years back!

I couldn't name "petition for redress of grievances" either, but the other four i would think most people would know...apparently they don't know em though.

4 for me as well.

Before clicking on the link, how many of you can name the 5 tentants of the first amendment.  Nationwide it is one in one THOUSAND.
