March 13, 200620 yr Javier Vazquez and Alex Cintron are helping the Puerto Rico team suprise some people. They are beating the Dominican Republic 5-1 in the 7th inning. Vazquez started the game for the Puerto Ricans. He pitched 5 innings giving up opnly one run to the stacked lineup of DR and striking out 5. In his other start in the Classic he pitched 3 innings and gave up one run and struck out 2. Cintron has compiled five hits and and a HR. Tonight he completed a suicide squeeze beautifully and reached first base. Looks like these two are ready and willing to win.

I saw Gary Redus do something like that once (though i think it was 2nd), steal on the pitcher before he even delivers the pitch. Redus actually made it work.
