i'm gonna go out on a limb and say ryan sweeney and/or josh fields... but it's just a guess.

The whole day I hear that Contreras is starting for the Sox on the radio and I turn it on and McCarthy is pitching.

ARow hit .438 with 5 home runs last spring, and had a very disappointing season with the bat.

 

Don't pay attention to the strike zone with him...pay attention to what he's doing with the strike zone. If he's getting ahead in counts, driving outside pitches the other way, and flying that bat through the zone, he'll be in good shape. He wasn't doing any of those things last year during the season.

Anyone willing to do occasional updates here, for those of us stuck at work?

Wouldn't be Borch at 1B. Rogo was sent down, so I suspect it must be Gload. Unless there is another 1B in camp besides Konerko, Thome and Gload?
