For one, Rbi jump out at me...  Rowand played 59 more games than Hunter did last year, and still trailed in Rbi and Hr's?  Now if you take the defensive plays that Hunter has done over his course... theres no contest there. Rowand had a good year last year playing very deep... Hunter has always played well on Defense. I believe Hunter has taken away more homers in 1 season than Rowand has in all his career.  If you look closer at the seaonal average, hunter drives in more runs.. scores more runs and most of all plays better defense!

You're talking about a #3 hitter and a #6/#7 hitter. Also I love your non-statistical argument, it's all hearsay.

I only mentioned last years because you claimed that Hunter was still the better offensive player for having more HR and RBI.

Just because Andruw Jones plays the same position doesn't mean Rowand can't win a GG this year. As a matter of fact I think Arow has a damn good chance.

Rowand has a chance, but merely because of the postseason, the Yankees series last year, and being traded to the Phillies for Jim Thome. All of these things put his name on the map, and since we know that the media basically picks the GG winner (usually at least), he's got a chance.

Do you really think there are 3 outfielders in the NL that are locks for the gold glove right now? Last year we had Jones, Edmonds and Abreu. Abreu is the furthest thing from a lock seeing how last year was the first time he's won and he has had a fall from grace after his pathetic second half last year power wise. Also with the way Edmonds is playing right now, if he does keep this up it could be the first time in 6 years that we don't see him winning won. Jones is a lock.

 

And noone is claiming Rowand is god but that is a nifty little belittling statement ya got there, just because some people think Rowand is better than you think he is doesn't me they are claiming his is god.

The Yankees series from last year put him on the map and gave him a nationally known name, he just has to start unnecessarily leaping for balls and diving at balls that could easily be caught without diving, then he'll be in the drivers seat.

Yes, I watched many in person. He got to allot of deep balls playing deep, but did not get to allot of balls that should of been caught that fell shallow, maybe that's something they factored in as well, who knows. You actually see more when you see them in person than over the tube.

About 70% of the time actually. He had no accuracy with his throws last year, he was terrible.

Who's dubbing him a god? I'm just saying he's not worse than Torii at the plate, and other people are just saying he deserved more respect in the GG voting last year.
