Anyone know anything about this pitcher-minor league reliever, 24-but Sox press release does not say if he's right or left, and was on waivers from Colorado and is on 40 man roster for us

looking at his stats i have no idea why we would want the guy.

Well it all depends on how long it takes him to learn how to throw with his left hand.

I worked for the Kane County Cougars when he was there, he dominated Single-A ball. I guess other organizations were scouting him, in fact I saw Jerry Krause there one day, and I'm guessing he was scouting for the Yankees.

 

I believe later that summer Sierra was traded from the Cougars to the Yankees for Chris Hammond if I'm not mistaken. Sierra has good stuff, and I'd love to see him make it big for the South Siders.

He's about #15 on the list of replacements right now.
