The Missing Fixture

There is one only bathroom fixture that:

    * Is almost never mentioned in Home Design/Decorating books

    * Is affordable and belongs in every home, yet is missing in most

    * Men are usually too intimidated to mention it by name

    * Women never consider it when planning a bathroom ...

but spend the rest of their married lives wishing they had it

That fixture is a urinal. ... a specialized toilet designed for urination only, which is used almost exclusively by a standing male.

A commercial fixture that until recently, was rarely considered when it came to bathroom planning, urinals are beginning to appear in homes as their advantages are becoming more widely known.

Acceptance & Popularity

Early trend setters opted for a urinal in the master bathroom. Now they are beginning to appear in other bathrooms in the home as well ... especially where there are males in the household.

Urinals can be installed next to the toilet, although most women prefer to place it in a separate WC (Water Closet), or behind a partition.

Who the hell else uses it and how? I guess I've attempted to throw up in one, but seriously, perhaps a sitting male? Chimps? Queen's hampsters? :bang

I could see one in a basement or something....

With a sign over it:

Head's Head

IN Europe females use urinals in some places too. Iwould totally do it in a basement.

i'm the only guy in the house with four women so a urinal wouldn't make alot of sense to me. though it would stop the nagging about the toliet seat being up..

While that's a great goal, finding one that will let you have the boat, motorcycle, Friday night Poker game, season Sox, Bulls, and Bears tickets, and a "special friend" near work, that's a keeper!

Like others said - in a basement.

Nope. They actually have urinals in Europe. Kinda like the floor standing ones we have, but they include footprints where the females should stand, with their back to the wall, and you can picture the rest. I saw in alot in Belgium and Netherlands.

My uncle installed a urinal in his house.

When I was five, we visited my gramma in France. I didn't know that the bidet wasn't a urinal. I got in trouble when I asked my mom where the flushing thing was.

I rarely use one in public, so I sure wouldn't install one in my house.

If it's not a tree, it ain't for me.

Most bathrooms already have a urinal. It's usually called a shower... :D
