And you can definitely tell he gained the respect of a lot of his teammates, especially AJ. He stood up for his teammate and that's why he's earned a lot of respect.

i dont at all agree that bowling-over-the-catcher should be taken out of baseball. but he's right that Brian Anderson was being an idiot. i mean, most everyone else was holding back from throwing all-out punches, except him.

BA was coming in AJ's defense, not stupidly initiating the whole mess for no sensible reason. Therefore, I don't see how he was at barrett's level.

Congratulations on a TERRIBLE analogy. Lets see.....the Indians didn't even feel the need to retaliate against AJP....and Marcus Vick got kicked off the team. Vick went out of his way to step on Dumerville's leg. AJP, while he almost definitely could have avoided Boone, didn't change his direction or stop so he could do it.

I was actually suprised with BA being the Rookie and all. That showed some real courage. Ozzie was really happy with him. And Pierzynski did the right thing by not hitting him back. Maybe Barrett was off balance when Pods took him down but hes still the smallest guy on our team which makes it better. GO SOX!
