I have no problem with him swinging at the first pitch. However, it was sad to see how much he dipped his back shoulder swinging for the concourse.

I think he was doing what he usually does. He missed it. It happens.

AJP is hitting .414 when the count is 0-0. Just FYI for everyone.

Right down the middle to Frank for ball 1.

Frank's career numbers blow.

Nice play by Scotty. I cringe thinking what Pablo would have done there.

He might have knocked it over the fence.

Where the HELL ARE THESE PITCHES?

AJP is a pretty easy person to tell how they're approaching the pitch. As you know, he's most effective when he's trying to hit liners. However...if he connects, it's a homer. Thus, I'll find a way to forgive him. I just hope no one was surprised that he swung at the first pitch.

He's a selfish hitter. What do you expect? :D

Vaz is letting the home plate ump bother him, he can't do that.

I hope this ump gets hit by a semi. f*** this piece of s***.

This is the dreaded 5th inning for Vazquez.

We need a double play.

at least he is consistently small....at least hes not calling one way out of the zone and then going back to the small zone again

I'd say McCarthy should start getting up in the pen....but we know Vazquez will stay in for the 5th.

Correct on both accounts.

He should be in until the A's get to 5.

Watching Vazquez pitch makes me feel like I did when El Duque pitched last year. Just constantly cringing.

That a boy, change him up.

I won't be surprised to see Ozzie let him go 6.

Keep using the change with 2 strikes Vaz.

92 pitches to start Payton's at bat.

No....I still have confidence that Vazquez will at least throw strikes.

Wow, made that seem easy.

Nice stab by Javy.

You wouldn't be surprised? Of course. I expect it.

Nice snag.

Well...he got thru the 5th. He made a huge pitch in this game on the 3-2 to Crosby.

Woulda been an out anyway. Way to battle past the terrible zone Javy!
