Kyyle23
The only reason I looked is because when you just look at a stat like that on a thread, it just looks so absurd that is cannot be right, I had to see it for myself.
JoeBatterz
I want to say that the only Sox game I saw in person last year when I got back to Chicago, Buehrle started against the A's on a Saturday night and we got smacked 10-1.
DonkeyKongerko
July 1st, 1987, Greg Walker hits a walkoff homerun off Eckersley to complete a sweep over the Oakland A's.
G&T
QUOTE(JoeBatterz @ May 24, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) I want to say that the only Sox game I saw in person last year when I got back to Chicago, Buehrle started against the A's on a Saturday night and we got smacked 10-1. I was at that game...the fireworks after the game were really good. That was the only upside to the worst game I've ever been to.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 24, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) 2006 -- 4.74 5.12 2005 -- 4.35 4.73 2004 -- 4.64 5.04 2003 -- 4.52 4.92 2002 -- 4.46 4.85 2001 -- 4.47 4.90 So Buehrle is above the average, I really don't know what to entirely make of it but it's really not surprising for whatever reason. Well, he's not really a strikeout guy, so more fielding chances are usually going to add up to more errors, especially if all else is equal. I think it shows that he gets a lot of GB outs. JMO though.
southsider2k5
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 24, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) 2006 -- 4.74 5.12 2005 -- 4.35 4.73 2004 -- 4.64 5.04 2003 -- 4.52 4.92 2002 -- 4.46 4.85 2001 -- 4.47 4.90 Interesting. The league average is .40ish over those years, mean MB is above average. I'll bet a good chunk of that is because of his status as ace that means he sucks up more of those kind of situations where as a 5th starter would be pulled and not allowed to work through something like that.
