So that's what a good offensive and defensive CFer looks like.

 

I can't believe how pathetic our CF situation has become.

Mack has to be the worst hitter against lefties that I have seen for some time.

Granderson is damn good and from Chi-town. I know BA is going down, which probably needs to happen. The thing that nobody mentions is that Rob M. isn't really all that great of a hitter.

You never know though what happens if he holds the runner. Crede getting a hit to leadoff the next inning only makes it seem like a worse decision. In the past, we got to Rogers early (Frank usually crushed him). However, Rogers would settle down as the game went on.

Bad decisions in the 1st inning against Kenny Rogers shouldn't follow a good offensive team for 8 more innings. Just as good pitchers overcome errors, good offensive clubs have to overcome situations such as those which happened between Cora and Dye. Remember, we're not going up against Santana where ever run is valuable.

 

No different than any of the countless stolen bases which led to outs, only to be proceeded by doubles which would have scored a runner.

 

Cora's play yesterday should have amended that anyways.

Pitchers somehow settle in all the time when an offense lets them off the hook. Jphat, I know you're going to argue this because it has a shred of negativity towards the Sox, but it's a normal occurance in baseball.
