We smoke the ball in the first inning, but after that, nothing. Seems all to familiar.

Javy through 3 innings:

63 pitches, 5 hits, 3 hit by pitches, 6 strikeouts, 1 run (earned)

That's an amazing amount of action in 3 innings.

Great play by Belliard to keep it from 1st and 2nd 2 outs. Inning over.

I can't remember the last time 1 of our starters had a chance to go 8 innings. It's probably only been a couple games but it feels like 3 weeks.

When Buehrle gets shelled and Contreras is walking people, yeah that's the end result

So, will this be Javy's big inning?

Not sure how many more times we can escape all these threats (as Javy strikes out Hafner again).

7 out of 11 outs recorded by Vazquez have come via the K.

Too bad he's thrown so many pitches and given up so many hits. He might have had a shot at 20. :)

Good lord, how in the world do you throw 88 pitches in 4 innings and give up 1 run?

he's doing a marte impression, then following it with an el duque impression every inning

Damn we need some runs. Our bullpen will be getting a lot of work tonight.

You know, I don't like it when Javier hits people or walks them or anything but he, more than anyone on this team, is the pitcher I want pitching with runners on. He is excellent in that position.

Pregunta: Gates open 2 hours before the 1st pitch? Going Sunday and want to ensure my daughter gets a give-away.

I suppose we've seen the best and the worst of Vazquez so far tonight.

Unreal, strikes out Hafner and Martinez. Indians have scored 1 and left 9 on base in FOUR INNINGS.

Javy updated line:

4 IP, 6 hits, 3 hit by pitch, 1 walk, 1 reached on error, 8 strikeouts, 88 pitches, 1 run (earned)

This is unbelieveable.

2 straight innings with an out after 1 pitch.

2 outs here after 3 pitches.

Yay.

That's sweet.

I think it might be an hour and a half, but it's probably two.

Uribe needs a hit here to stay above the Mendoza line.

Javier's brinksmanship coming back up.

Yay.

Cliff Lee has currently thrown 63% as many pitches as Javy.

7 pitch inning for Lee, lol.

Javy doesn't get a chance to sit down before he has to get back out there. Sheesh.

can we please score some damn runs? what, are we trying to reanact yeaterday?score 2 runs in the 1st and then stop scoring?

inning over :rolly

Where have I seen this before? Sox score 2 runs after the first 4 batters in a game against a LHP, and then go silent. I highly doubt 2 runs wins this.

obviously 2 runs wont be enough. javy has pitched his ass off in this game...

I hope Mark has his A game tomorrow because our bullpen will need it.
