We better take care of business with the Reds. We're not getting one ounce of help from these pathetic bums.

Another guy on 2nd for Cubs with nobody out, Let's see if they can get him in. Now I remember how bad it was watching the Sox back in 2002 and 2003 and 2004 at times.

The Cubs aren't going to help out any. Gonna need a sweep in Cincy.

In 1.2 innings of work before being yanked; Rusch gave up a single, 3 doubles, a triple and a homerun.

Nice outing! lol

It's time for the Cubs to rally!!

The Rally.....Bartman

Holy crap, it hurts to watch Pierre hit.

Oh, my God.

These guys are awful.

The Cubs are bad. To be realistic we can't expect the Cubs to compete with the Tigers. This is the only time this year that I will pull for the Cubs.

So can we say that he pitched for the cycle?

I probably f***ing hate the Cubs more than everyone ehre combined, but I know who the real enemy is. I will be rooting for them to win against AL Central teams. I'm also going to bookmark this thread so I know who to b**** at when the season is over should we finish w/in 3 games of the division to any team, and that team had wins against the Cubs.

Hilarious, but it makes me wanna cry a little too.

Apparently, some of the players aren't sure who to root for in this series...

"If you're not paying attention [to Detroit], you're lying,'' Pierzynski said. "We watch the games, and with them playing the Cubs, of course we're going to watch. The tough thing is you're kind of torn on who you root for. You don't really want to root for the Cubs, but you don't want Detroit winning, either.''

Looks like the Tigers are going to get the sweep. Cubs are putting Prior out there today. I bet he lasts 3 innings before he gets hurt again.

Good lot of help this thread has done so far. sheesh

Prior=done, no control, no heat.

After the end of the top half of the 1st

Tigers have 6 on 3 homers off the Messiah himself

I had to go to northsidebaseball.com and read some of their game thread. One guy posting was at the game and left after the 1st inning. They are pretty funny in making fun of their players over there. One guy was quoted "If Prior would be allowed to pitch with a towel, he'd be Cy Young."

Yup, never rooting for the Cubs again. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to actually be a fan of this team.

Yah, its pretty funny. And apparently Jeremy Piven just yelled "Hug it out, b****es" during the 7th inning stretch.

I got WGN on and I heard that. Can you guys hear him slurring his speech? I think hes totally wasted. Talking about a hovering spaceship where celebrity deals are getting signed.

LMFAO!!!!!!

MAKE IT 8 HOMERUNS IN 1 DAY

DO YOU f***ING BELIEVE IT?!?!?!?!?!

12-2 NOW.

If the Tigers are gonna win, they might as well beat the hell outta the Cubs.

You have got to be f***ing kidding me! Isn't this the second time this year they've given up 8 HRs in one game? LMAO! This is the worst Cubs team I've ever seen, and that's saying quite a bit.

Yeah this is a historically bad team.

That's about as bad a $95 million team can be.
