I do believe that a reconstruction would be incomplete without reacquiring the real king of hustle and mr. pornstache himself, Jose Valentin. He can take over the utility spot from that POS Pablo Ozuna.

Of course. He hit a 415 foot blast in the bottom of the 7th tonight to give the Mets a 1 run lead. Sure he was thrown out at 2nd on the worst baserunning play ever early in that game, and sure the Mets ended up losing, but he's still a legend. And also, he's the best baserunner Hawk has ever seen (next to Yaz), so this move is a no brainer. I bet for Sweeney and Fields, we could get it done.

The pitiful performance is because the players have lost respect for their manager.

 

 

The other thing I worry about here is the mop up relief spot. Politte was terrible, and after last night I think Montero is just as bad. What if we have a 14 inning game at an NL park like game 3 at Houston last year? When we need our 7th pitcher of the game in the 14th, Montero will come in and blow it. Kenny needs to address that, depth is key.

 

They're gonna give Politte every opportunity to stop pitching like a girl. If he continues to struggle after he comes back from the DL, I guarantee you Kenny will make a move.

Oh, you guys have forgotten the guy that will get this team back to the World Series.

 

The reason we're in second place is because we're missing Aaron Rowand's defense in center. I don't see Anderson running into walls or diving for balls. Lack of effort and execution.

We need a reliable lefty reliever who has no fear and everyone has confidence in, like Damaso Marte.

Oh for sure. Sure Rowand had to dive and run into walls since he's slower and got worse reads than Anderson does in CF, but Rowand's getting dirty really fired up the troops, kinda like McMahon would do when he ran on passing plays. Actually, Ozzie is the Latin Ditka too, this team is so much like DAAAAAAA BEARS, it's scary.

I was thinking about that last night after the game. Couple of things.......

 

 

Remember when Ditka strapped on roller skates and went skating in the Metrodome? LOL!

 

Remember when Ditka threw a wad of chewing gum at some guy in Frisco? LOL!!

 

This isin't the 1st time we've had a manager in this town with a flair for the dramatic.
