Putting the Ozzie Guillen circus behind them, the Sox continue to play fantastic baseball. The Sox went 5 and 1 on the concluded homestand, including a 20-run beatdown against St. Louis pitching on Tuesday night. And the cardinals were a little "beat up" to begin the series.
June 27, 200619 yr Anything less than a sweep of the 6 games against the Pirates and Cubs and we'll be losing ground. I hate this kind of stretch. What would be really nice is if the starters step up and take control of each of these games. We could use a stretch where we give up 3 or fewer runs/game.

In terms of scheduling for Saturday's game against the Tigers (Pirates vs. Tigers) they have yet to announce there starter, but we will be seeing two of there best (in Snell tonight who we knocked around but only got 3 against and Duke on Thursday when he goes up against Count and his 16 game win streak).
