July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) ahaha.. BBTN doesn't like that Buehrle got the nod over Schilling whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cares.
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) Um, didn't they just say Jenks is in? We got 7... 6. WHITE SOX (6): Paul Konerko*, 1B; Jim Thome*, 1B; Jermaine Dye*, OF; Mark Buerhle*, P; Jose Contreras*, P; Bobby Jenks*, P http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/events/a...roster_team.jsp
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) Iguchi isn't "for sure". He could be on the final man ballot though. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/events/a...ster_league.jsp ah, didn't realize it was all released already. thanks
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(jenksd @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) Did anyone else crack up at Mark Redman making the team? I think this means Iguchi is going for sure because Grudzalianakeliaek is out of the picture. I think what Ozzie should have done, kind of as a symbolic protest of having to take a player from every team, is pick the worst Royal possible. Then, let him ride the pine the whole game. It would have been just as good as picking Redman. Incidently, wasn't Redman a Marlin when Ozzie coached there? Maybe that's why he was picked.
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) I have a feeling Crede and Tad might take the cake.... If that's the case I doubt either will win.
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) Are they giving out the 10 names for the final 2 spots tonight?? I believe so
July 2, 200619 yr Besides the fact that his coach was the guy picking the rosters, can anyone here rationalize Buehrle (or you can just insert AL starter not named Johan Santana) making the team over Verlander? Verlander is #1 in the AL in W's and #2 in the AL in ERA. Seems like an royal screw job to me. Edited July 2, 200619 yr by JackTalkThai

July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 06:32 PM) How does the best pitching staff in baseball get 1 pitcher in? im sure gar, vazquez and freddy deserve to go............
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) im sure gar, vazquez and freddy deserve to go............ He's talking about the Tigers. The Sox don't have the best pitching in the league.. (and if your post isn't meant seriously, it went right over my head ) Edited July 2, 200619 yr by Felix
July 2, 200619 yr I hope Guillen purposely puts Mariano Rivera in the 6th inning just to hear people complain. Baseball Tonight crew (namely Phillips) made a point of having him close the 9th. "No respect to Bobby Jenks," though. Edited July 2, 200619 yr by Flash Tizzle

July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Wrong place for sympathy. I wasn't looking for sympathy. Not at all. I was looking for someone's rationalization? If there was one out there.

July 2, 200619 yr If Crede gets in that extra vote, the abundance of White Sox on the roster will hurt his chances of making the team.

No way to rationalize it. It always happens. The all star game manager brings as many of his boys as he can. It is just as messed up as the AL starting line up full of Yankees and Red Sox.
July 2, 200619 yr I hope Jose only see 1 or 2 batters in the middle of the game. He pitches 2 days before the game. Don't want to mess him up.
July 2, 200619 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So is Thome. Probably Jenks, Crede, Dye, Contreras, and Buerhle.
