July 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rooney's call was just as good. Don't know if it could be topped. Sox lead, 6-4. Light it up! That had to be Ed Farmer, not Rooney, otherwise I'm schizophrenic. Edited July 7, 200619 yr by TheBigHurt
July 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) That had to be Ed Farmer, not Rooney, otherwise I'm schizphrenic. Same difference. Like I said earlier, I never listen to the radio. I've just heard it a lot of times since then.
July 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(beautox @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 01:38 PM) nice, i love it, "Jooooe Creeeeeede-ee" I get chills listening to that.
July 7, 200619 yr Does anyone know where the "C'mon Timo" video is? I searched it but i couldn't find the Hawk call of it.
July 7, 200619 yr these are great but on June 6th when Cintron hit the go ahead 3 run shot to right off Detroit, I literally thought Hawk was dying of a heart attach....I played it back 50 times and was laughing my butt off, it sounded like he was taking a drink and trying to choke the words out, voice crackling like mad, without the doubt the most difficulty he's had getting the words out of any of his calls....
July 7, 200619 yr Author On the 05/23/06 call, i imagine Hawk falling out of his seat when he says "way back" lol
July 7, 200619 yr Could you imagine if Hawk had done our playoff games last year? I don't think he would've survived.
July 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(earthshiner @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 12:33 PM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...d=cws&ym=200509 the Crede one is on this page. The White Sox clinching the AL Central call is a great one too... "You win 96 games because you are that good!"
July 7, 200619 yr The Cintron 3 run homer video at the sox site is all screwed up. Last year the best call was hands down, Crede's game winner. Behind it goes AJ's shot vs LA. This year I was at the Oakland game where Mack hit the 2 run shot to tie it. Listening to it gives me that feeling like it could be the best call of the year so far, but I don't know. Best game I have ever been to I know that much. I know some more really good ones are coming though.
July 7, 200619 yr Yeah Hawk is a homer but he is the most awesome announcer who ever lived. The day he stops calling games for the Sox is going to be a REALLY sad day in the teams history.
July 7, 200619 yr Using the generic windows sound recorder, last nights Thome slam call is now part of my desktop theme. Whenever I restore a window that I minimized it plays.
July 7, 200619 yr as much as hawk has started to annoy me the past 2 years, i can't imagine a sox game without him.
July 7, 200619 yr i remember last year during the cubs series at wrigley, jermaine dye hit a line drive home run and hawk said something like "i dont care if you got El Niño out there. if you hit a ball like that, you can put it on the board." Edited July 7, 200619 yr by lukeman89
July 8, 200619 yr If we are entering the way back machine, 7-2-03 is among the top, probably top 3 of this decade anyways. I listened to the Twins team do that game, and I thought that was awesome. Hawk's was the call of the night on ESPN, and you couldn't even finish him say "you can put it on the board." That was an awesome game.
July 8, 200619 yr QUOTE(letsgoarow @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 11:37 AM) does anyone have a link to the joe crede hr against the indians from last year...... or the come on timo http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...d=cws&ym=200509 Sept 20.
July 9, 200619 yr LOL, remember the tight game vs the Twins last year, "AND NO HE DROPS THE BALL DAMN!!!!!."
