July 25, 200619 yr I think that whoever wins the Central this year, between us, Minnesota and Detroit, deserves it. Toronto's maybe if they battled back to win their division, but otherwise, one of those three. Disagreement?
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) When the Tigers make the playoffs, it must be Leyland. Fixed

July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 02:54 AM) I think that whoever wins the Central this year, between us, Minnesota and Detroit, deserves it. Toronto's maybe if they battled back to win their division, but otherwise, one of those three. Disagreement? I think if the Yankees get to the playoffs with the lineup they have been marching out there lately and a underperforming A-ROD I would go with Joe Torre
July 25, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) I think if the Yankees get to the playoffs with the lineup they have been marching out there lately and a underperforming A-ROD I would go with Joe Torre You know, I'd like that, too, but I really think that whatever team wins the Central deserves it.
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Bonderman38 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Leyland. Gardenhire in a close second. Agreed. If the Twins and Tigers make it, it will be a very close race with Leyland pulling out. If the Twins and Sox make it than Gardy goes. I don't think the Twins and Sox would make it, rather it will be the Tigers and one of the Sox, Twins and Yanks/BoSox
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 10:08 PM) Indeed. Coop will fix it.[/color] it's not broke...look at their wins
July 25, 200619 yr Its easily Ozzie, no one has handled their staff, team, and media better than Ozzie. Has anyone done more with less?
July 25, 200619 yr I believe Leyland gets it as long as the Tigers make the playoffs, he has done a fantastic job up there turning around that team.
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) No matter what happens, it's Leyland. I realize it's not probable, but if Detroit spiffs the bed the rest of the year, it's still Leyland?
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Hanger @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 08:39 AM) I believe Leyland gets it as long as the Tigers make the playoffs, he has done a fantastic job up there turning around that team. Might as well give him the plaque now .............
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 02:55 AM) i think its between leyland, leyland, leyland, or leyland. or Jim Leyland
July 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) or Jim Leyland James Leyland. This was a guy I wanted the SOX to get back during the Manuel era ......
July 25, 200619 yr Leyland, unless Detroit chokes, in which case Torre. No way does Ozzie get it this year. One, even if the Sox win the division or get the wild card, it'll be attributed to the talent, not the manager. Two, Ozzie has probably managed to alienate enough sports writers for one thing or another, for this year at least.
