7/29/06 White Sox v. Orioles

Featured Replies

How about one of those 3 run homers that Uribe started to hit prior to the ASB?

Uribe with the line shot single, Sox lead.

And that's what I mean about the players being responsible for execution. Note how Leo Mazzone, reputed to be one of the better pitching coaches in the game, comes out for a few words of wisdom to calm down the pitcher after he hit Gload. Smart thing to do by Mazzone. And yet the kid pitcher still fails to execute a good pitch.

80 pitches

good lord.

SCOTTY I HATE YOU

But Brian Anderson is the worst hitter in White Sox history!

No home runs so far. Good.

Pathetic AB by Pods. He's on pace for one of the worst games ever. This pitcher is making him look like an A ball player (what his tools state he should be).

how quickly we forget Royce Clayton and D'Angelo Jimenez

Pods is really making his presence felt today.

Jimenez wasn't a bad hitter at all. Come on, he had a great walkoff single against the Cubs.

He's the only reason the Orioles have a chance in this game.

Didn't Jimenez win a Crosstown game for us.....its faint in my memory but thats the only reason why i remember him

If he walks here, will we see Thome vs Ortiz with bases loaded again?

I've defended Pods numerous times, and I think he catches way too much crap around here, but these are really horrible ABs he had today.

Or what about Baines in his last time around with the Sox? The DH without the H.

I still have nightmares of that game in Arizona where we had a rally in the 9th and for the 3rd out, Jiminez was tagged out at 2nd, trying to advance on a play he never should have.

Too bad it should be atleast 10-3, not 8-3.

YES!!! Huge runs there, as we capitalize on this awful pitcher.

and boom goes the dynamite

Nail in the coffin. Poor kid. He should've been on the 2004 White Sox.

THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!

we're back baby!!!

He might have had the worst instincts on the bases I've ever seen.

fish YEAH!!!

Our hitters have recoginzied a pitcher who is definately pitching away from contact. Gooch goes oppo and our offense wakes up. I love it.

Now think about this. Russ Ortiz is the next pile of dung they will take out of bullpen.

im sorry but if you think our system is bad after trading lumsden, look at the orioles. a AA pitcher with an ERA over 4. we would have 6 guys to go to before we would stoop that low.
