I know he's out now, so I'm coming a little late, but I have very little faith in McCarthy as a reliever. He just doesn't fit that role well at all.

No to Soriano, i dont want a rent a player who Ks way too much. Yea there is a problem with Scotty but i dont think AS is the answer.....My guess is we'll wait it out this year and hopefully find something in the offseason, or maybe fields will be ready...but probably not

Of course they should. Like you said, Cotts has been really bad recently. He's fallen in love against with his high fastball, and when your velocity is down a few mph, it's a lot more hittable.
