fair enough...

No doubt he deflates the fans...

but I think the players are made of tougher stuff. :huh

Other than Javy, KW looks like a genius

unfortunately, that's a big "other than" considering:

1) we traded Duque, Viz, and Young for him

2) he's expensive

3) he's keeping Brandon out of the rotation

I would still like to see Pods pick it up. When he get on base our win/loss record is awsome. The problem is that he has been so inconsistent this year. I do not remember him being that bad in the field last year.

This is a scary thought, but could you imagine where we would be if Crede and Dye hadn't both stepped it up BIG time this year? Yikes

This is a scary thought for the rest of the league: could you imagine if our pitching was pitching to their potential? That's scary.

And to think there were a few people on the board saying that Cotts is still more reliable than him.

A lot of people seem to have trouble letting go of past performances. I think we're all guilty of that one way or another.

It's the same thing with Pods. He's clearly not the player he was last year, but people cling to his past accomplishments and defend him because of that.

Not at this point. I really like the way our BP is looking now, with BMAC in LR, Cotts and Riske in the 6th, MAcdougal in the 7th, Thornton in the 8th, and Jenks in the 9th....Now only if our starters would step the FOCK up.

They're human like you and I. You don't think players ever get deflated or even pack it in sometimes?

Some of the lesser guys maybe... like maybe Mack or Uribe..

but guys like AJ and Dye live for the chance to turn games around.

and it takes a lot more then a 2 run deficit to make this team give up.

And there's my point. Clark is obviously better than Pods this year, but people won't accept it.

I love the way Clark plays the game. In many ways, his baseball IQ is the opposite of Pods.

That wasn't his fault. No one forced Ozzie to bring Logan in to face Hafner.

True but you don't bring up a single A pitcher to play for a championship caliber team based on a few innings in spring training.

No one forced Ozzie to have 3 lefties on the team. I'm not blaming Ozzie...just trying to say it's not necessarily KW's fault.
