Pierre is infinitely better than Podsednik right now. Pods makes Pierre look like Ty Cobb.

Uh, no he doesn't. Their stats are very similar.

Ugh

Dye and Pk both try to go deep, but nada

Barry 'this will add an extra 2mil per year on my ensuing contract if I can finish it' Zito with a no hitter through 7 versus Texas.

Jinxed it, no more no hitter.

And damnit, this game doesn't have to be this close. We should still be up by a couple.

This game just seems too much like ever Twins/Sox late game series over the past few years.

the only thing that can make this game worse is if Mackowiak has a error in CF.

The magic potion for our right handers especially Senior Pull It only.

Low and Away its like Kryptonite for our right handed hitters.

Not over the past 2 or 3 months. Pierre has been very solid since his terrible start, and Pods has been terrible since his solid start.

I Keep thinking about that 2nd inning......

thats how you get pauly out lately. hopefully he gets things under more control next month. good year still for the big guy.

After reading about this game I'm very happy I missed the first 5 1/2 innings

That's what I was just thinking.

Nice jinx

Yeah, seriously. About a minute later he gave up a hit.

Some very tough outs coming up for Sox pitchers in this 8th inning.

wendell cora killed another rally thats pretty much sums up our first few innings.

I'm still scratching my head over Ozzie's decision to keep Pods in against a tough lefty. Maybe Brian wouldn't have come through at the plate either but at least your defense is improved considerably in the late innings when every run is crucial.

I am really sick to my stomach over this game now. I'm just stunned.

Cant say i feel too good myself. Thornton HAS to shut em down here

The Twins had no problem with our 2-3-4 batters, can we do the same with their 3-4-5 battters?

There's honestly no reason he was left up to bat, especially considering Ozzie has said he won't start Pods vs LHP due to his inability to hit them this season.

Mauer pops out to Pods. Nice pitch.

*stomach churns*

There is a ridiculous amount of reoccuring themes occuring during this season...

I love how Hawk gets gitty over a routine catch by Pods.

Whew...I thought that was gone off of the bat.

Alright, you know the gun's off when Thornton's only hitting 92.........PHEW, on that hit by Mauer

It would be a shot to us and to the twins if we actually tried to hit line drives next inning, and strung a few hits together. I know it goes against our whole offensive strategy of lift and pull and pose, but it might win a close game. Just a thought.

Pods prances over and make an easy catch look hard.
