They all shut down our lineup, not to mention good pitchers like Santana doing it as well. The point is this team has been awful against starting pitchers, most of our runs over the last couple of months have come late in games against teams' bullpen. So is it just bad hitting strategy coming into the game and not adjusting to pitchers, or is it something else?

The hitting strategy of "pull everything and send it over the wall" usually ends up not working.

I was gonna say that they all have funny first names especially "Some".

horrible approach, what else can it be? Is it really possible for nine players simultaneously hit slumps?

it's lack of intensity, and lack of a hitting strategy

my ideal lineup right now

1. pablo

2. gooch

3. dye

4. crede

5. gload

6. anderson

7. cintron

8. sweeney

9. alomar

I guarentee that lineup would not have been shut out tonight

Yes, it happens every year around this time for the Sox (including 2005).

If someone told me that the Sox would only give up 4 runs in 2 games against the Red Sox and those starters, I'd have said that's 2 wins. It's damn near impossible to do what they just did. I can't imagine another team in baseball losing these two game...er, at least in the AL.

Pods- the suck

Gooch- tired? lack of bubble drinks? maybe bleaching his hair would help

Dye- injured

Thome- still injured, enjoys leisurely games of pepper with second basemen

Konerko- Wait, what? There's a RIGHT field?? I wish you weren't such a liar...

AJ- No, you're so wrong. "Casey at the bat" has a HAPPY ending. I know, I just watched it on my PSP.

Crede- Umm.. it's 2005 still, right? Cuz pop-ups are so en vogue.

Uribe- finds teasing fans with his potential and muscular glutes highly erotic

Anderson- Let me bat. Please.
