Ozzie is a moron. i like your chances too. espicially with boone logan and dustin hermanson pitching with the bases loaded

Why is it so hard to realize Ozzie does not make up the roster.

I guess that is why Mack continues to play in CF. We have 2 count them 2 options better than Mack in CF.

 

Who gets the starting nod more often than not. A corner OF. That is not on KW, that is on Ozzie.

Mack was acquired as a super sub expected to play.

Who are the better options??

BA has NOT been the answer.

 

Second guessing is very easy of the GM and the manager. In hindsight, yes

we shoulda done all we could to pick up Soriano.

Ozzie is a f***in' idiot. This team has been done since that series against the Red Sox before the all-star break. I f***in' hate this team.

Why are some people so naive about how much influence Ozzie has on the roster? There's been numerous times this year where KW said in the media that he asked Ozzie if they needed to change the roster, and Ozzie told him that he likes the 25 man roster the way it is.

Really. In one breath the Ozzie apologists say that Ozzie deserves the credit for getting KW to bring in the players that put us over the top to win it all last year. In the next breath they say Ozzie doesn't deserve any blame for this season because he didn't put together the roster.

 

This is a good team. Many of the players have underperformed. Ozzie has done his part to hurt this team as well with his crappy lineups, leaving starters in too long, mishandling the bullpen and other horrible in-game strategies. You can't put everything on Ozzie. But if you're talking about blame for this season, Ozzie has to be near the top of the list.

KW worked on a lot of possible deals if we are led to believe the papers.

He didn't back off because of Oz.

Of course Oz is going to say he likes his current team.

The team is incredibly inconsistent in all areas.

How is that Oz's fault?

 

It's obvious Oz got sick of BA's outs early and gave up on him as an everday player.

If that bothers some of you, fine, but that's what happened.

The other options were not there, so Mack is the platoon guy and he is a butcher.

Who else did you want out there?

Also Pods became a disaster making 2 of our 3 of positions pretty weak.

Our ss position didn't hit, we got no backup catcher the days AJ doesn't play.

Our bullpen has not been winning caliber.

Our starters have performed average at best, terrible during the stretch Detroit

pulled away.

 

Oz's big crime in my mind is for whatever reason the magic was gone this year.

If the players are sick of Oz and quit on him, I guess KW must find that out and if

it's the case, Oz probably will be discarded like Ditka.

The coaching staff demanded that KW bring back Sandy Alomar Jr.

Well then chalk that one up as a big negative toward Oz, cause Alomar sucks.

Give Oz a D- on his performance appraisal for that one.

I never said the guy was perfect, but I don't see how the cf disaster can be

blamed all on Oz.

Ditto the bullpen blowups.

 

If our starters were pitching worth a damn, even Oz wouldn't have made the mistake

of asking for alomar. But if he wanted Alomar, dock his pay next year for that one.

They've needed a sense of urgency for over a month, but I haven't seen it yet.

So Ozzie should realize this, and then go with the most productive OF he can put out there on a consistent basis. Pods did nothing well, Mackowiak plays a solid LF and can hit, and Anderson can play a great CF and not much beyond that. Looks to me like the OF should have been Mack-Anderson-Dye.

 

Of course, we can't blame Ozzie for the mis-shuffled outfield.
