High School Football Playoffs Thread!

Featured Replies

My St. Rita Mustangs are in good standing right now with a high seed in 7A and what should be a convincing win in the first round. How does your team look and what are your predicted final four for your class or any of the higher classes (5A, 6A, 7A, 8A)?

I heard Rita is ranked like 13th in the nation. That's nice.

But, they surely won't win a state title. Kuska still runs that team.

Warren got hosed. =(

They had the second highest amount of playoff points but were 4-5. East St. Louis is probably the favorite for 7A. Lincoln Way East has been #1 most of the year bit have trouble scoring and really don't have a QB, so 8A will be interesting. Maine South could return to state finals after starting 0-2.

I got WWS winning 8A

I haven't seen a game of high school football this year so I'll just assume that Stevenson will win 8A. :)

Warren Central is now number 1 in the nation according to Max Preps.

Lemont got a 7 seed and we're playing Marshall.

Oak Forest is ranked 6th in 6A and are playing some team from Normal in the first round.

Um...No.

Lake Zurich rolled over Stevenson this past week, 35-7, and now both Stevenson's losses are to 7A teams in Lake Zurich and Libertyville.

New Trier versus Loyola. Shall be a barn burner.

Saw New Trier twice this year. Not that impressed. They can't pass for crap but have two good runners in Spellman and Brigandi.

you guys are already in the playoffs?

how many games is the regular season?

Lake Zurich represent! We are way to talented this year not to take this to state, but we should be dangrous next year also cause my junior class is stacked!

Carmel vs. Lake Zurich should be awesome if it happens. I think LZ will be able to beat em and than set up a rematch with Libertyville for the right to lose to East St. Louis in the state finals.

All I got to say is NT better kick Loyola's butt.

I haven't seen any games this year being at school, but I had heard Frahler was doing rather well. No?

I havent seen any as well, but I hear Brigandi and Spellman carry the team with Frahler doing an okay job.

Exactly. Frahler is a tall QB and has a decent arm but not entirely accurate, but New Trier will go as far as Spellman and Brigandi carry them. Two very good backs.

Oh you didn't know? You're ass better call somebody!

The recruiting trail has gone cold the last couple years, or at least when they play Morris.
