I always said that if I was ever in a band (never happened, much to the rejoicing of eardrums everywhere), I would cover that song. I think it could be quite a rockin' little pop-punk tune.

I was listening to that song last night. Wasn't Bow Wow Wow, Adam and the Ants without Adam and with a female singer?

I believe the answer is "yes"...somewhat. I think it was Marco, the guitarist with maybe another member. From what I can tell, the history of The Ants is kind of all over the place, kind of like their music. They were so "hit or miss". But you are right, there is a connection between the two bands.

Vincent Price? I bought his Egg Magic game in the 70's! I took it out a couple years back only to find out that I was missing the feet in my Vincent Price Egg Magic Kit. I called the info hotline. Below is a transcript of that phone call:

Lisa: Now what do we do?

Me: Let's call the company.

Lisa: This was made in 1967, they're probably out of

business.

Me: Well, we'll just see. [dialing] Murray Hill, 5-9232.

[the call actually connects; even more surprisingly,

Vincent Price himself answers]

Vincent: Hello, this is Vincent Price.

Me: Oh! It's Vincent Price! I thought he was dead!

Vincent: You should know the grave could never tame me! [laughs

madly]

Me: Oh, Mr. Price! I loved you in "The Abominable Doc ..."

Vincent: If you're calling about the missing feet, leave your

address, and the replacement feet will be rushed to you by

my grandson Jody.

Vincent: And now, I must return to the sweet embrace of the crypt.

But I'll be back! [ghoulish laughter]

I thought Vincent Price was dead when I called. His voice recording was on a message machine... but I'm still not sure if he's dead or not. The whole situation was wierd... like something out of a tv cartoon sitcom or soemthing.

From Wikipedia:

Bow Wow Wow was a 1980s New Wave band organized by Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren in 1980 whose music is described as having an "African-derived drum sound".[1] McLaren persuaded guitarist Matthew Ashman, bassist Leigh Gorman and percussionist David Barbarossa of the original lineup of Adam & the Ants to leave Adam Ant and form a new group, fronted by teen singer Annabella Lwin. [1] Among the regular faces at the band's early London gigs were Latin songwriter/producer Richard Daniel Roman and Boy George, then known as Lieutenant Lush. McLaren was also going to use the latter (later of Culture Club fame) as a second lead singer, but he was deemed to be "too wild" for the band [citation needed].
