Pods who???

Yeah Pablo.

OMG PABLO DOVE IN THE STANDS

Thanks for not f***ing up, Pablo.

Stop going 2-0 right now John.

John's featuring 89 mph gas.

Way to not give in.

Nice...first 2 down

1-2-3

Nice inning for Mr. Danks. Give us 8 more, exactly the same. :P

There ya go John. 1-2-3 inning, nice.

Harrelson's right, a steady diet of 87-91 MPH fastballs without a dependable curveball will get Danks killed eventually...the big plus is it's cold out, so the hitters might be a little more aggressive than normally and get themselves out.

At least he didn't walk Punto.

And maybe the gun's a little slow, we'll see if Santana is 91-95 or not.

Here comes a bad outing from Johan

The results were nice for John, who settled down a lot thanks to Castillo not being patient enough in his leadoff AB. However, Hawk is dead on the money that Danks is going to have to get his other stuff over.

But he did a nice job of keeping his heater down in the zone after he settled down and if he can start getting his curve for a strike it should allow him to ocassionally show the high fastball and just blow it by guys (kind of like how Zito does).

Of course, it was the guy's first inning in the majors.....

Pablo looked silly there.

Danks can throw a bit harder than that gun was showing but its cold out so the pitchers may not be as lose but it looks like the gun is 2-3 clicks slow, especially based on Santana's velocity thus far.

Whatever that is, a slider or a really fast changeup, it's his bread and butter pitch....just like Liriano, without the brutal/violent throwing motion.

Konerkos batting third again....I hate that move

I'm willing to bet Jhon is sitting 90-91 right now, while Johan is up to 93.

Hmm, it looks like Paul is getting some pitches.

At least hes working the count

This ump doensn't call the inside strike.

The fastest pitch for both guys is 91 so far.
