Featured Replies

Who walks in to eat...none other than Jim Thome. He was with what appeared to be a wife and daughter? Id say and was getting mobbed by the wait staff. I thought it was pretty interesting.

blandest food ever, but huge portions.

I think, I'm not sure, but I think, the main part of the story was the Thome bit. Like I said, I think that was what the topic was really meant to be.

:D

Damn, that's about 5 minutes from my house. Wish I had "soxdar" lol.

Dude their menu is huge...have you tried everything?? Anyway I was there twice...and enjoyed it both times. The portions are huge...not sure if they were big enough for Mr Incredible, but they're sure to satisfy everyone else. The wait sucks though.

Food distracts from all star gazing discussions.

I grew up about 1/4 of a mile away from that place. Right off highland.

Bland, giant portions? He was talking about Thome

That must have been cool to see 94% of our offense in Lombard when the team is in Anaheim. Please Crede, Dye, AJ and Paulie, please get hot soon.

I ate at the one downtown years ago. It is excellent, but steep.

I really like the menu at Claim Jumper. My brother has worked at a Claim Jumper in California for like 5 years and every time I go out there I go there. The portions are enormous though.

CG is top notch.

JT is a regular there. The servers talk about him all the time.

I saw a Claim Jumper the other day out in the NW burbs. Hadn't heard of it before. I assumed it was an insurance attorney's office.

I went to Claim Jumpers over the weekend. The meatloaf was awesome. Their bar is pretty good as well.

I will have to try capital grill.

I will have to try capital grill.

Capital is pretty awesome, I also love Rock Bottom for the pretzels. Down the street is the real prizes IMO, like Champps, and Hacienda.

I also opted for the meat loaf, excellent choice...I couldnt justify a 30 dollar steak whether it was my birthday or not.
