White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)

Featured Replies

We have more swings on pitches that are chest high or better away. On 2-1 that is not the pitch to drive. Same pitch. Same result.

We need a clutch walk right here.

A three run walk?

:bang

Jim Thome is my f***ing hero, all they do is walk his ass in the 9th inning and for good reason.

Ahh Jim you are always good for one of those, but here comes Rivera to get Dye to GIDP and end it.

Mr I give 100 percent to my employer is up now with the bases decked. Time to pull a rabbit out of his ass and hit the cutter.

DYE HE IS GOING TO THROW A CUTTER.

couple questionable calls there, but good eye jim

Would anyone else consider PHing here with Rivera coming in to pitch?

A three run walk?

He coulda hit it to the proverbial 3rd lane of the Dan Ryan and the tying run is still only on deck. The walk works.

He did get a cookie in that at bat.

Ummm...who?

If we had anybody on the bench I would.

Time for Dye to seizure out of the way of every inside pitch and pretend it is not a strike to compensate for the fact that he can not get around on an inside pitch anymore.

Why, righties hit Rivera better historically.

Um, no. Did the Sox suddenly acquire some bench player that I'm not aware of?

the good news is that rivera has been almost as disappointing as our bullpen pitchers this year

I can almost guarantee that JD strikes out looking on an inside pitch. He'll lift his hands and slide his legs backwards and look at the ump in disbelief.

That cutter is particularly devestating against lefties.

That's kinda the point.

From your mouth to Nellie Fox's ears.

He looks like post-2000 Frank Thomas doing that.
