July 2, 200718 yr Author Murray - "What if he died?" Arj Barkers character - "What if he did what?" Murray - "No, I'm saying what if he died?" Arj Barkers character - "I know, what is it that he did?" Hilarious. Their One Night Stand (on HBO Demand for those that have it) is the best. The version of the songs are a lot better on stage I think. "Business Time" has to be my favorite.

However, I like the produced versions of the songs too.
July 9, 200718 yr Best episode yet, IMO. I almost pissed myself when Bret hit Jemaine in the face with a sandwich!

July 20, 200718 yr Keep the thread alive! I liked the new episode, especially the part about the planet Bret and Planet Jermaine. "What a complete waste of $50."
July 20, 200718 yr "The world is very different ever since the robotic uprising of the mid 90's." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbqnY0XAzdQ...ted&search= Due to this thread's presence on Soxtalk I decided to watch the first episode on OnDemand and was pleasantly surprised. Especially with the "Humans Are Dead" video. I'll have to catch up with the remaining episodes.

Especially with the "Humans Are Dead" video. I'll have to catch up with the remaining episodes. I love the videos that they are making for thier songs, but IMO the live versions of all of their songs are 10X funnier. Check out "Hiphopopotomous vs Rhymenocerous", "Jenny", "Business Time", and "The Humans are dead" in the live versions of the songs. www.hbo.com/conchords has a few of the episodes available, and all of their music videos.
July 23, 200718 yr Last night was without a doubt one of the craziest and best FotC yet. Jemaine as Ziggy Stardust David Bowie, 70's Bowie, and 80's Labrynth David Bowie had me laughing my ass off, especially when he would fly out of the room. Mel and Murrays characters get better every week, if I had any complaint about anything it would be that Dave isnt a bigger part of the show, but I am sure that he will be soon enough. I cannot get enough of these guys, I read some review of the show that called them the modern-day Monkees, and I have totally bought into that.
July 23, 200718 yr Bowie's in Space is my favorite FotC tune and I couldn't figure out how they were going to get it into the show. Now, if they can work Frodo, Don't Wear the Ring in somehow I'll be happy!
July 24, 200718 yr I loved the party at Jemaines house.Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the the strobe lights were going off,all in a closet. It was great.
July 24, 200718 yr The look on Bret's face when Jemaine was singing "Bret, You've got it Goin on" was the highlight of the last episode. Well, that and the song itself.
August 6, 200718 yr This show keeps getting better and better. That's good because I'm starting to 'down' a little bit on Entourage. I love the plumber giving advice to Bret. "They're like bears. You gotta give them a little bait." And last episode, flipping the bird -- awesome.
August 6, 200718 yr I thought it was pretty funny how they switched stereotypes of men and woman with Brett and Lisa and she was just using him for sex.
August 6, 200718 yr My favorite part of the show was the last scene, where the girl asks Bret if he "Likes to have a good time", and Jemaine pops his head in between them and says "Im Bret". And Bret taking the shower with his clothes on was pretty funny as well. Dave (Arj Barker) has some of the funniest lines, but he has so few lines. Murray buying sawdust from AJ Jones was pretty hilarious Edited August 6, 200718 yr by kyyle23
August 6, 200718 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 6, 2007 -> 01:01 AM) This show keeps getting better and better. That's good because I'm starting to 'down' a little bit on Entourage. I love the plumber giving advice to Bret. "They're like bears. You gotta give them a little bait." And last episode, flipping the bird -- awesome. "Just fix the sink." "It is fixed. The water's coming out, just from a different part." I think my favorite part was when Jemaine went to make tea and he held the kettle above his head because the sink wasn't fixed right. Hiiiilarious.
August 6, 200718 yr QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 6, 2007 -> 01:25 PM) "At least they'll be out there" "yeah, but blank" "but they'll be out there" lol that part was great! The episodes just keep getting better!
August 7, 200718 yr QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 02:47 AM) Will Jemaine ever get any? I don't know, but Yeah, I suppose he does talk a lot about getting with some VERY hot women.
August 7, 200718 yr Hey, have you guys watched th serialized Flight Of The Conchords - A Texan Odyssey documentary on YouTube?? I thought I'd seen everything FotC that was up there, but somehow missed this. Part one has a great version of Most Beautiful Girl in the Room.
August 7, 200718 yr QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 02:23 AM) I don't know, but Yeah, I suppose he does talk a lot about getting with some VERY hot women. He's always cock blocking on Bret, but never seems to get any himself. "Business time, it's time for busines"
August 7, 200718 yr Yes, sometimes his lyrics are sexist But you lovely b****es and hoes should know he's trying to correct this.
August 13, 200718 yr "The money I gave you was for the week!" "But you gave us Per Diem. That means per day. If it was for the week you should have said per weekum" This show is like a rock rolling down a steep hill, it just keeps gaining momentum. I keep thinking to myself "they cannot top this weeks show." And Every week they top the week before.
August 13, 200718 yr I felt a little cheated with only one song this week, but excellent episode otherwise.
