June 26, 200718 yr Hey I'll take it. Upside: the bullpen finally comes through. Downside: the rest of 2007 season. But hey: boom goes the dynamite!
June 26, 200718 yr It's a shame it's come to the point that we have to mock our wins. Shame, shame, shame...
June 26, 200718 yr Jabba the Kruk says we are last in hitting because Pods wasnt here. Thanks Jabba. go and find a jelly donut.
June 26, 200718 yr Dummy Baker said if our starting pitching was better we would have a better record. Now I see why this fool is unemployed.
June 26, 200718 yr QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dummy Baker said if our starting pitching was better we would have a better record. Now I see why this fool is unemployed. But at least he was the voice of reason when Kruk was saying in 2006 Thome made the Sox a station to station team and they tried to win games 10-9. Thankfully Baker reminded him how good the 2005 pitching was. Hey Kurk, how many teams who exclusively manufacture runs with smallball are able to win after giving up 9 runs.
June 26, 200718 yr QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Dummy Baker said if our starting pitching was better we would have a better record. Now I see why this fool is unemployed. I agree with him. Jose Contreras: 5-8 Equivalent: Carlos Silva (MIN) (5-8) Mark Buehrle: 4-4 Equivalent: Brian Bannister (KC) (4-4) John Garland: 4-5 Equivalent: Aaron Cook (COL) (4-5) Javier Vazquez: 3-5 Equivalent: Matt Chico (WAS) (3-5) John Danks: 4-6 Equivalent: Kameron Loe (TEX) (4-6) So the White Sox starting rotation is essentially: 1.)Carlos Silva 2.)Brian Bannister 3.)Aaron Cook 4.)Matt Chico 5.)Kameron Loe Surely the Starting staff could pitch better than this, I mean come on Carlos Silva is not a #1 starter.
June 26, 200718 yr We get 12 hits. We win. Has anybody figured out our record when we get 12 or more hits? It's simple with this team. Had it hit at the same rate of the last few years, it would be in contention, bullpen be damned. Because with 12 or more hits a game we'd have a few blowouts and let our horses*** relievers pitch in blowout victory situations once in a while.

June 26, 200718 yr Thanks Kalapse. What about 10 or more hits? I'd think 12 is the magic number for success factoring in our horrific bullpen.

That's some of the worst logic I've ever seen on this site. And from Kalapse? I expect better from you...
June 26, 200718 yr He was being sarcastic guys. Kalapse has always said he'd take the 3.00 ERA and 12 wins over the 5.50 ERA and 20 wins.

That's poor logic too. A pitcher is only as good as the players around him. Obviously some guys are flat out mutants (Johan Santana) but would Mark Buehrle really be 4-4 on the Red Sox or Angels? No. I've got the flu, by the way. Edited June 26, 200718 yr by BobDylan
