well after getting swept by the Cubs this team was officially considered dead by everyone everywhere. So now there is no pressure on this team they have won 4 in a row, maybe just maybe we can go on a historic run and make the playoffs. I'm feeling about a 10 game win streak one loss followed by an 8 gamer to get right back in it. Call me what ever you want but I just have that feeling.

If the offense and bullpen stay as steady as they have this series, maybe. But we are playing the Devil Rays of all teams.

They'll have to win like 10 of the next 11, which is not including these last 4 with the DRays. That would put them at 14 of 15 and 2 games under .500, giving them atleast a shot in hell at doing anything at all.

It's possible that we could still compete this year if we brought in a reliever or two, a few young kids and everybody started to hit like they can, but I'm not holding my breath.

Tonight's game was good for our mojo. Now, if we can just sweep these pesky Royals, we might have something here....and then 4 with Baltimore at home....

At this point, I'll be happy so long as this team wins more games than it loses. Losing seasons are for the north side.

This team is closer to the 1st pick in the draft than they are to 3rd place in the Division.

Look at who's in our lineup right now....we have so many guys who should be on the bench or in the minors. Only Konerko, Iguchi, Thome, and AJP should be starting in the majors right now. The Tampa series was a nice breather on what's been a miserable year, but it's hard to imagine any scenario when we can even get within 6 or 7 games of the division lead the rest of the way. our schedule during the 2nd half is incredibly tough.
