I'm starting a new one of these (those long long 70 thread posts aren't quite good on the server, so I'm gonna try and break down these threads a bit more often).

Jean Van de Velde is now off the hook thanks to Padraig Harrington. Ouch.

And the golfer formerly known as the Waggler (Sergio) misses the par putt on the 72nd, which would have given him his first major championship. So we're going to a playoff. Harrington has his shot at redemption.

After getting a birdie on the first hole of the playoff and never looking back, Harrington wins the 2007 Open Championship. Great job bouncing back from that disastrous 72nd.

Interesting golf to say the least.

Seems like more guys lost the tournament than Harrington winning it. Yikes.

The ESPN Gameday broadcast of a men’s basketball game on Jan. 26, 2008, is looking more likely. The network has scheduled a site inspection of SIU Arena on Aug. 14. I will let you know what they think of the place.
