September 22, 200718 yr Anyone got any video highlights of the Sox 8 run comeback from a while back against the Cubs? Since that game was talked about a few weeks ago I've really wanted to see highlights of that game again.
September 22, 200718 yr QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 20, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) Damn, I'd love to see the SS Hitmen piece. There should have been a lot of 30 anniversary stories this season, but weren't unless I missed 'em. Pitch at Risk to Richie Zisk. later amended to Pitch at Risk to Carlton Fisk. I was thinking that too. They are one of the more memorable team in Sox history ... particularly for those of us that actually remember that team.
September 23, 200718 yr I'd love to see some SS Hitmen highlights. Actually some highlights of Kittle and Bull Luzinski and Dick Allen. Also some Carlton Fisk highlights as well as Peters/Horlen if anybody has links.
September 24, 200718 yr Here are some brief clips from 1980 (Jump ahead to 2:35) And a few more Ozzie starts a line-drive double play here (skip ahead to 1:10) Edited September 24, 200718 yr by kba
January 1, 200818 yr I need to see a video of Konerko's slam from the WS. That gives me chills every time. Of course winning the WS was the best moment of the season, but for me Konerko's slam was the most exciting moment in my life as a Sox fan.

March 14, 200818 yr QUOTE(ROC Sox Fan @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 07:13 PM) Pretty funny Dewon Day tribute. How do you post the video directly to the forums? Copy the text for "Embed" from Youtube, and when posting, turn on the "HTML On" option before telling the post to go.
March 14, 200818 yr QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) That first one really makes me miss the old park. I'm right there with ya big guy! Don't get me wrong....I really like The Cell, but nothing can replace some absolutely incredible memories that took place when I was at the Old Comisk.

March 14, 200818 yr It's this year's marketing campaign, they've been playing that spot and another one with a janitor sweeping and that Sox fan with a SWEEP sign during the Spring Training games.
May 2, 200817 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 04:00 AM) It's a little weird hearing Ozzie's opinion back then about managers getting fired, specifically about LaRussa. The reporter asked him why is the manager always the first to be fired when a team isn't doing well and he responded by saying it's easier to replace one guy than 25. The sox finished 72-90 that year. His demeanor is exactly the same saying he wasn't afraid of anyone in the division and that the team at the time wasn't playing together because they would pitch good one game and not hit and vice versa the next. His message to the kids was to stay in school and learn, but also practice playing baseball if they want to make it to the MLB when they grow up. Cool video. May 2, 200817 yr Does anyone have access to or have a video of Paul Konerko's inside the park home run. I once saw it and laughed a ton on how the bench was cheering him on to make it all the way.
