Like what? "Don't tell me what a player hits...tell me when he hits it!"

"He gawn!"

Jim (SoxMachine Jim) just posted this over at South Side Sox and I completely agree with it:

Stone makes Hawk better, too

I got really tired of DJ baiting Hawk into going into the anecdote barrel. "Say, Hawk, you have to admit that the players aren't as hungry as they were in your day."

They're talking about the old Orioles, but at least it relates.

Hawk has a reputation as a bit of a bully (see: Wimpy). I wonder how much of that has to do with his relationship with DJ on the air.

I don't particularly care for DJ with Hawk, but he's better without, and Hawk is better with someone who knows the game and won't be bullied by him, either backstage with teasing (like Wimpy) or with his presence (you come into his booth, and you KNOW that Hawk's Da Man).

Steve Stone clearly has no problem being an equal partner.

And Steve Stone likes John Schuerholz almost as much as I do. :D

I sure wouldn't mind a change in the booth (McDowell). DJ absolutely bores me to tears.

I just finished reading about Pud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cy Westbrook has our number tonight. The slumbering offense picked a bad time to return.

I hate the sound of Steve Stone's voice.

Thats the reason Ive always hated him. Hes monotone, emotionless, but still Ive actually enjoyed this broadcast, Stone is very knowledgeable.

I'll give you that his voice is grating. But his knowledge is kickass.

Was that Contreras warming up in the bullpen?

WCIU can burn in hell

U got it! :lolhitting

JD with the grab!

I think Im ready to try Borowksi now...Westbrook has owned us tonight. A 2-hitter. Get Borowski in this game and we may have a shot.

Big break there on the passed ball. Lets score some runs.

Not sure I like the bunt. I would have had him steal, then bunted. Oh well.

We give our two boppers a chance to tie or win it...i like the move.

Why the hell didn't Fields have instruction to atleast wait a few pitches for Owens to attempt a stolen base off Martinez?

you're at home. got to move the runner into scoring position where a basehit ties you.

Who on our team is a better bunter than Josh Fields? I've been very impressed with that part of his game.

You like your porn...

Martinez seems incredibly easy to steal off of. Why not wait a few pitches?

i'm not sure why they don't intentional walk to get the fleet footed Konerko up for the DP possibility, but ok.

It's Victor Martinez behind homeplate. You give Owens a few pitches to steal it on his own.

Just do it Kong.

WOAH... make it hurt P.K.
