Paulie isn't going to pinch hit. He was getting a day off and there was no way he was playing (unless someone got hurt). He rarely sits and when he does Ozzie wants to give him a 100% day off (ie tells him he ain't playing regardless).

 

 

I watched and wailed on WGN. Thome isn't hitting and Floyd ain't pitching. Contreras on the other hand is pitching his way back into the rotation. In my opinion Floyd needs to go down and let's find someone else.

I want Floyd to keep starting. At times, even in tonights game, he looked very good (that curve is nasty and he had a little cut fastball or more so a changeup going that at times looked real good). Keep him up and just throw in a random sixth start from time to time (allows Danks to stay fresh and gives Count an ocassional new opportunity).

 

Plus I hold out hope Contreras will be dealt in the next 2 weeks.
