August 14, 200718 yr DJ is probably just as p1ssed as the rest of us and doesn't even want to watch the Sox right now.

August 14, 200718 yr QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 13, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) DJ is taking the longest maternity leave ever taken for a male. I work with a guy who is on week 6 of a 12 week maternity leave. His wife had no problems delivering, but he took the whole 12 weeks of on-paid Family Leave. I heard he's just laying around playing PlayStation and getting Fatter. I wish DJ would take the full 12 weeks. Edited August 14, 200718 yr by Jim Spencer

August 14, 200718 yr By law, you're entitled to 12 weeks (unpaid) leave. EARNED (not accrued) vacation time, etc, depending on company policy may count toward that.
August 15, 200718 yr Screw Stoney....he's a Cubs Die Hard and always will be. Despite the fact that he is a tremendously talented broadcaster I don't want him anywhere near Sox games due to the fact that his true allegiance is to the North Side.
August 15, 200718 yr QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 14, 2007 -> 03:55 AM) DJ is taking the longest maternity leave ever taken for a male. Wrong. I know of guys that took the full time alotted by the family leave act. I liked Stone on the broadcasts though, or at least the one I watched on WGN last week.

Does the fact that Steve Stone pitched for the White Sox a couple of yrs change your mind just a little bit? Led the team in wins back in '77 with 15, which would be a miracle for someone on this yr's staff to do.

Exposure to Hawk would cure that. I bet that after a month we'd get a squeaky 'Dagnab it' out of Stoney.
August 19, 200718 yr QUOTE(max power @ Aug 14, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) Listening to this game- I miss stone. Yeah, there is just zero chemistry between Hawk and DJ, dispite the fact I like both of them individually.
