Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)

Thome has fouled off so many mediocre fastballs the last month or so. Hopefully his bat speed picks up.

at least Jim is seeing some pitches

Who cares about that today. Slowey's only going to go 5 innings or so, and the Twins bullpen is completely rested.

0-2 counts = White Sox hitter's goal.

i'm watching this on the computer, but all the pitches to PK look like they're right in the middle of the plate

well, Cy Slowey already

How in the world are they missing these pitches? Anytime Ozzie wants to shake up the 3/4/5, that would be fine with me.

Nice job middle of the order. Slowely is not exactly K city with that 88 mph fastball.

Konerko is so good.

Danks 2 ks

The only way we can win, is if Danks shuts them out. Our pitching cannot give up runs at all.

I hope we take a 1B in the first round of the draft.

ugh, I just looked at Livan's baseball-reference page and it makes me even more upset about last night

wow, Danks has a 27/8 K/BB ratio in 36 innings, that's nice

Danks might already be the Sox' best pitcher.

Edit: Well, second-best. Behind Javy.

and of course as I point out his low walk total... he walks someone

Javier is the best right now.

Danks and Floyd are pitching equally as well.

The rest, okay.

how did Cuddyer steal 2nd? Did the Sox just not pay any attention to him?

Buehrle and his 5.81 is not okay.

I really think that's what causes some of the routs like we saw last night. MB probably doesn't get lit up if he didn't feel like he had to be perfect. Maybe I'm wrong, but at some point it has to start wearing on the pitchers.

When you have a pitcher who is as calm as anyone, taking a bat to a heater then you see frustration.

Nice 3-2 pitch by Danks.

that is my thought too, especially with the 3-4 hitter whiffing

Danks Ks monroe, 2 out runner on 2nd`

I could just imagine what Ozzie told Buehrle after that. "Don't worry Mark, we'll change the line-up tomorrow so the leadoff hitter has a .310 average (OPS, of course)".
