I am of the minority, I guess, but I'd rather have Javy keep pitching. I don't like Dotel in this situation.

No chance, not with the way Javy lost his arm slot and his history of 6th inning disaster. Good job Dotel!

If your middle reliever can't be trusted to get one guy out you are in pretty bad shape. Dotel has been iffy but he really isn't THAT bad.

Well, my thinking was if your ace can't get through 6 innings against the Mariners lineup then you don't really deserve to win anyway.

But his history of 6th inning disaster hasn't come up since 2006 so I really have no idea why you're acting like it's some common occurence.

Johjima got nailed in the thigh, that has to hurt.

Quentin again proving why he is a sexy manbeast.

CQ = good.

Carlos Quentin proving he is a big league hitter ..... amazing at bat...Lowe gave him some tough stuff and CQ finally rips one in the corner. I love this guy.

That was a beautiful at bat by Quentin. A run here would really be nice.

It was one of those nights where he just lost it. It happens. Ozzie made the right move. Sentence number 2, I agree.

Dotel really stepping up as of late, which is huge for this club.

Absolutely. Last time out he was really impressive. Faced 7 guys. Struck out 5. Doesn't get much better than that.

We've desperately been needing a reliever, other than Jenks, who can just come in and strike people out.

And coming into tonight, Dotel has 21 K's in 13 innings pitched.

Dye battling here

Oh God. I was scared there.

Really...if CQ goes down cue the Jerry Owens era.

You got that right.

Not really, I think first option would be Swisher in LF, and Anderson in CF.

That would OUR first option.

You'd have to think Ozzie would be tempted to play Owens. This is after all the same manager that thought Erstad was a starting CF.

Ugh, I hope PK wasn't expecting a 3-2 fastball. The advanced scouting has got to say that Sox hitters look 3-2 fastball 100 pct of the time.

Can we score this run? I'm not confident.

Nasty pitch.

Yea...this kid Lowe isn't a bum. He's got a helluva arm. If we get a run here, we'll be fortunate.

Swisher made some solid contact today. That's encouraging.

The bullpen has to step up and hold this lead.
