August 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) There is nothing like watching a good old-fashioned ass pounding... Are you watching the cubs game again? Anyhoo....Another 4 Homerun game. The are just mashing the ball. Let's return the favor to the Rays and welcome Willsy home with another 4 homers.
August 21, 200817 yr So Swisher's OPS is up to .789 and he's got 20 homers. He could conceivably finish the season with 30 HR and an .850 OPS.
August 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) For now, I'm much more curious/wanting/concerned about Liney. But thanks. Yeah, I've pretty much given up on Crede at this point. I'm sorry to see him (probably) leave the Sox this way, but we have to move on. Regarding Linebrink, this sounds encouraging, but I'm not sure if it means that much... Linebrink (shoulder) threw without discomfort on Tuesday and may throw again from the side on Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. (Aug 20)
August 21, 200817 yr Joe Who? I'm over Crede, even if Fields can't man up when we aren't battling for last instead of first. Uribe and his blond goatee hold all the answers at 3rd as far as I'm concerned. Mr. Snacks and Cakes, that's my DUDE!
August 21, 200817 yr I was all excited about getting up and watching the game today. Then I slept in until 2:45 and had to go to work. I suck.
August 21, 200817 yr I forgot to start texting for the score even though on my lunch break I told myself when to start to and by the time I got home it was over. (waz OVAH!). Guess work went faster than usual today, which is awesome, but a Sweep and 5 W streak is even better (BETTAH!). Edited August 21, 200817 yr by ROC Sox Fan

(Aug 20) Which is exactly why Ozzie took the position he did on Crede. He has to act like he isn't coming back, and be pleasantly surprised if he does.
August 21, 200817 yr And with what has happened to Joe, and the way Fields' has regressed, I'd say it's more likely than not that our 2009 3rd baseman isn't in the organization ATM.

August 21, 200817 yr I still think it's Fields. If it turns out in 2009 that he doesn't do well enough to keep the position, then I can picture them looking for someone else. Given this scenario... I think the odds of the Sox resigning Uribe to be the backup plan in 2009 are very high.
