Game is on ESPN at 6:00 Thursday night. Tyler Hansbrough will become UNC's all-time leading scorer, so there should be plenty of "face time" for UE and the MVC.

 

Wow, a 32 point win over a team who beat Louisville, impressive. You guys have a couple really good senior guards (love Shy Ely), so it could be a fun season down there.

45 minutes away, I consider home. But they will get better toward the end of the season as their players mature.

 

 

Our two losses are both in KC this year, that new arena is not so nice to us. I knew we were in trouble when I saw 2 walk-ons on the floor the entire second half. I am relaxin with this KU team, they have alot of learning to do and a good teacher.

Josh Mayo of UIC might be the 2nd best non-BCS guard in the country right now. Just an amazing shooter, he's actually been more accurate than Curry this year I believe. At the same time, it AMAZES me Georgia Tech got to a national title game under Paul Hewitt. He's a fantastic recruiter, but he couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. ISU up to 9-0! In other news, Evansville looks like they are for real this year after an impressive 32 point win over Western Kentucky.

Yep, he's a terrible coach. That GT team that made it to the title had a fantastic player and leader in Jarrett Jack. Hewitt supposedly will get one more year after this season, especially if he lands Favors like everyone is expecting. He's had so much turnover in the program over the last 4 years with players going pro early, injuries, and academic casualties.

Entering today, Mayo was shooting 51.6 percent from the field, 54 percent from three point range(!!), and just a hair under 90 percent from the free throw line at 89.7. He averages 21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.7 steals a game. He had 17 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and was 6-14 from the floor today.

He is. I'm glad the Redbirds took him away from the Illini. He has a good shot at the NBA.

It would be nice if Tyler waited until the Valpo game Saturday, so I could be present to see him pass Phil Ford . Phil will be in attendence Thursday so I do expect a bit of a ceromony. I Miss the great eight matchups being played at the United Center, I normally got a chance to see UNC compete in those, but Valpo will do I guess..

Mayo is yet another "region" kid excelling at the college level. I saw him play plenty at the prep level, but was never overly impressed with him, I'm glad to see him doing so well.

Illinois had big interest in him as well as Indiana but he honored his commitment to ISU. Illinois also made a big push to try and get him to transfer after his freshman year.

It was pretty generous to put the Buckeyes in the top 25, but lets not start getting all crazy and keep moving them up. Just keep them right there please.

I watched that Syracuse game live and when that shot went in there was a definite wtf moment. Like did that actually just happen? As a Uconn fan, its always a pleasure seeing them lose
